Dental Prosthetics
[su_spacer]
Prosthodontics or dental prosthetics is the branch of Dentistry that is responsible for restoring function, anatomy, phonation, and appearance to the stomatognathic system as a consequence of the loss of one or more teeth with the use of artificial substitutes (prosthesis). These prostheses may be fixed or removable, as well as partial or complete, depending on whether only a limited number of teeth or the full arch is affected. At Dentsana Clinic, we offer all these kinds, adapting to each patient’s needs:

- Removable: those prostheses that the patient can and should take out from his mouth and put in by himself. They may be made of resin or a combination of metal and resin (skeletal).
- Fixed: only the dentist will be able to take them out or put them in. These are the so-called caps, crowns or bridges. They can be made of different materials depending on each patient, such as metal-ceramic, zirconia-ceramic or ceramic only, etc.
- Fixed detachable: consists of a fixed part in the mouth and another one that the patient can take out.
